All of us are tested each day. The question is whether we can, in the midst of our difficulties and pain, find it within ourselves to say, whatever place I find myself in is here so that I can become someone better in the future.

In the middle of your challenges, however harrowing they may be – financial bankruptcy, relationship breakdown, loss of a dear one - you should stop for a moment and think that there is something you need to learn from this experience. In the words of Chief Obafemi Awolowo: “Whatsoever happens to a man in life happens to him for his own good.” It’s all happening for your growth.

The studio won a bidding war for rights to the reboot in early 2015, with Andrew Rona and Alex Heineman's The Picture Company set to produce. Kurt Russell starred as the iconic one-eyed anti-hero Snake Plissken in the original Dystopian action film, released by Avco Embassy in 1981. Studiocanal owned the rights to the film, which had several suitors, and was won by Fox's Mike Ireland on the back of the studio's competitive bid. Carpenter, who also directed classics including "Halloween" and "Assault on Precinct 13," will serve as an executive producer on the remake.
