There's much than bed and boarding on offer when one pays for a hotel room, especially the higher end ones.
From slightly more far-fetched services like wi-fi, spa/gym facilities to more essential things like beddings, there are several things one can request for upon checking into a hotel.
Here are 9 things everyone can request for when checked into a hotel.
  1. Charger: Forget your charger in the rush of packing? You can request for this from the front desk office and if available will be loaned.
  2. Pillows: Don't like your pillows? The hotel is obligated to provide you with better ones.
  3. Hair straightener: Ladies need to keep that hair in place but forgot your straightener? Why not try the front desk.
  4. Sewing kit: Some hotels have complimentary sewing kits available for guests use.
  5. Toothbrush/toothpaste: If this isn't already provided in the room, you can always make a quick call to front desk to make a request.
  6. Extension cords: Be careful not to burn it though or you'll have to make a payment.
  7. Children's toys: Some hotels offer things for crayons and toys for children's amusement. So if you find yourself in a hotel room with bored children, find out if your hotel offers something for them.
  8. Board games: Just like with children's entertainment, some hotels have something for the adults too.
  9. Swimming costume: If the hotel has a pool, it's impossible that there'll be swimming costumes for rent.
