Rest. its compulsory

“If you ask what is the single most important key to longevity I’d say it is avoiding worry, stress and tension.” – George F. Burns

Worrying is never useful; it clouds our thoughts and drains our energy, triggers a stress response and reduces our capacity to handle urgent and important issues.

When you catch yourself worrying, you should counter balance the thoughts. For instance, every time you have a worrying thought think back to the last time something you worried about happened. I bet that 95% of the things you have worried about in the past didn’t happen. This simple rationalization will usually make you realise that worry is illusionary.

As Thulie, my South African friend, puts it, “If you can solve your problem, then what is the need of worrying; if you cannot solve it, then what is the use of worrying?” Hmmm.

Have Restful Day!
